The Country Diner

The Country Diner - 134 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY. 12828. - Phone 518-747-2410. Open 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Meet Chris Kalmanidis, chef and proprietor of the Country Diner. It's an excellent diner in the village, and the food is first rate and easy on the budget. Everything is spotless, clean and new.

A Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony (October 2015) co-hosted by the Fort Edward Chamber and the Adirondack Regional Chamber. Chris cuts the ribbon while Pam Fisher and Mayor Traver cheer!

The counter area is great if you come by yourself, there's always someone to gab with while you eat.

The Country Diner has become a popular meeting place for Who's Who in Fort Edward. Fort Edward Village Trustee Trace Conlon (standing) discusses lunch with Fort Edward Village Mayor Matt Traver (seated, in the vest) and Fort Edward Town Clerk Aimee Mahoney.

The Country Diner can accommodate larger groups, all we need do is move a few tables around. There's Pam Fisher (standing).

The kitchens are spotless and newly refurbished, Chris is just a little bit fanatical about this. Here, Chris poses with his "No. 1 Cook" Tonya. Some real yummy stuff comes out of this kitchen!

That's a "Scrambled Fred" ... scrambled eggs, home fries, bacon, and toast. Chris makes this real nice and the home fries are great!

Here's a cheese & mushroom omelet, with some of those fabulous home fries and an english muffin. More photos will be added later.

And that's a Bacon Lettuce & Tomato Sandwich, "BLT" and french fries.

My favorite Sunday breakfast, silver dollar pancakes (short stack) with bacon.

Enjoy free Wi-Fi while you eat.
